Was there for a memorial 5/28/18 a keg of beer and quite possibly the best pulled pork i have ever had. not dry and not wet from them pouring water on it, sauce on the side like it should be,it was smoked to perfection! i'm a chef and very picky about how food is cooked. the buns rocked too.Top notch job for the cooks and the servers. Thanks for a well done job.

Stopped in for some of their famous rub and had a burger which was excellent and viewed their smoker which they had some pork and brisket being cooked and they gave us a sample of both. Excellent. Plus they gave us a whole cheesecake to take to my nephew's for a baby shower. Great guys. Can't wait to get back.

We had the good fortune to eat lunch at JR's on September 10, 2014. We are true BBQ lovers and have had some of the best in the world in South Texas. I can honestly say that the brisket we enjoyed at JR's was some of the best I have ever had---and very generous portions. We met John the server that day and Ryan the smoker. Great guys who do great work. If you want great food at a great price which is cooked and served by great people, this is the place!Robert Rasmussen

Had the prime rib dinner. The meat was so tender and flavorful. Great foid and service.

The first time we went, last year, was really good. Tonight, terrible. The brisket was so dry, like it had been left out or reheated in a microwave. I was really disappointed because we liked it so much last year.

Hihhly recommended best food in Crosslake & by FAR the best price no comparison must stop at the American Legion club to enjoy this amazing meal and their breakfast is awesome as well

Every time we stop in we get free samples before we decide & excellent service! Check out their new penny top bar inside as well!! I would recommend this place to anyone looking for some good comfort food BBQ!

Our family recently held a 45-person Family Reunion at our lake place and had Jr's No 19 BBQ cater both evenings. Sara came to our home and setup everything with tables and food warmers for both nights and then picked everything up the day after our event. We had a BBQ spread the first night, and a Taco Bar the second night. ALL the food was fantastic and drew rave reviews from many reunion participants. There was more than enough food for everyone so we even got to enjoy leftovers for several days. For desserts over the two nights, we had chocolate chip cookies, apple crisp, and two types of cheesecakes, and again, rave reviews for all.I would highly recommend Jr's No. 19 BBQ for any catered event, and plan to use them again personally for future events.

Best bbq in mn and we have eaten at most places. Ribs are excellent, prime rib excellent and brisket which is my favorite is awesome, ask for burnt ends if they have them absoutly superb and service is excellent as well.Must try if you are in the area. We ate there twice in a week and both times were 5 stars. Nice to have a place like this in the north woods

Great place with some very friendly service. Their BBQ and brisket was amazing and they make a good BBQ sauce too. We will definitely be coming back.

Competition bbq for the masses.

On Ryan's invite, we were treated to a giant platter of food to help us pick the meat and sides we wanted for our catered event. Awesome ribs! Very professional! They wanted everything to go smooth as we did and it absolutely did. Highly recommended!

Had the ribs and chicken meal it was excellent. Ribs were fall off the bone no sauce is required. The chicken had a great smoked flavor. The service was excellent, everyone made sure we were we'll taken care of. The best part of the night though.... The Homemade Cheesecake!! Amazing!! We'll definitely be going back.

Ryan cooked and prepared our food for our Grooms dinner and Morning after brunch at Pine Peaks. The food was amazing!! Ryan has a great personality as well, good communication. I would definitely recommend him for your catering needs.
